How much tea do I use, for how long and at what temperature?
" Tea is a Decision For the Mouth To Make"
We encourage you to experiment with amount and steeping time
to find your personal preference, however we do provide
guidelines specific to each tea in our labeling.
Specializing in Organic & Fair Trade Loose-
Herbal Tea: 1 tsp/cup 5-10 min
Pu-erh Tea: 1 tsp/cup 3-6 min
Black Tea: 1 tsp/cup 3-5 min
Oolong Tea: 1 tsp/cup 3-4 min
Green Tea: 1 tsp/cup 3-4 min
White Tea: 1-2 tsp/cup 3-4 min
*1 serving of Oolong, Green, & white tea can be steeped
multiple times. Simply increase the steeping time with each
subsequent infusion.
Do you sell caffeine-free teas?
We have a wonderful selection of Herbal Caffeine Free
infusions. Tea from the actually tea leaf “Camellia Sinesis”
contains caffeine which is a natural substance from nature
produced to protect the plant from environmental threats
such as pests & insects. Herbal infusions are made from
herbs and spices such as peppermint or cinnamon and are 100%
caffeine free.
We have many botanicals blends such as Organic Blueberry
Rooibos which offers similar heath benefits to the tea leaf
such as vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

How much caffeine is in tea?
Generally, a serving of tea has about a third of the
caffeine as compared to a serving of coffee. Caffeine levels
in can be affected by how much tea you are using, water
temperature and steeping time. The stronger your tea is the
more caffeine you have extracted into your cup.
*Interestingly enough you can remove 80% of the caffeine
from your tea by simply rinsing the leaves for 30 seconds
before steeping your tea.
Does Yerba Mate contain caffeine?
Yerba Maté is a tree that grows in the South American rain
forest. This healthful herbal beverage is called “The
Liquid Vegetable”, high in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants,
& amino acids; this healthful beverage is an appetite
suppressant and provides an uplifting and energizing
stimulation.
Yerba Maté is made from the stems and leaves which have
natural substance call “matteine” which is chemically quite
similar to caffeine. Matteine it is not addictive, it is not
dehydrating, and as a slower releasing energy is does not
have the same crash associated with coffee.

How do I properly store tea?

The tins in which we package our tea are perfect for
storage: to preserve tea keep at room temperature sealed
from both light and air.
What is the shelf life of Tea?
Natur’el Tea has an approximate shelf life of 3 years,
although spices and herbs never officially “go bad” the
quality and flavor will go down with time.
What kind of water should I use to brew my tea?
Like the wise old Englishman will tell you, Always use
freshly boiled water! Avoid distilled water, mineral water
and tap water when making tea. Spring water or filtered
water is best.
For best fragrance and flavor, boil extra water to pre-warm
cups and pot before pouring tea.
What is a natural flavor?
