Oolong
Tea
The making of oolong tea is regarded as a precious art that
requires years of training. From the nursing of a seedling
to planting, to nourishing the bushes, to properly selecting
the best time to pluck the leaves, the husbandry of the tea
farmer is a legacy passed down from many generations.
Oolong means semi fermented,
it
can sometimes be called a semi-green tea.
After rolling, the tea is
allowed to ferment only until the edges of the leaves start
to turn brown. The tea is then fired which arrest the
fermenting process and captures the interesting character
associated with Oolong tea.
As a
result oolong combines the benefits of
both green and black tea!

Organic Jade Oolong
This lightly oxidized oolong tea from the mountainous region
of Nantou, Taiwan, has a smooth golden green infusion
enjoyed by green tea lovers. Its flowery aroma, brisk flavor,
smooth body and fruity finish make this one of our favorite
oolongs. Always fresh, this is one of customer favorite. The
prime lots of this tea are selected each spring and winter
for us by our long-term grower in Nantou, Jade Oolong one of
our consistent favorites from Taiwan.

Coconut Pouchong
Melt into the aroma and flavour of our rich, creamy, smooth
coconut perfectly blended with Bao Zhong Pouchong. Pouchong
is a very lightly oxidized tea somewhere between green tea
and Oolong tea though often classified with the latter due
to its lack of the sharper green tea flavours.

The story of this tea
naturally centers on its wonderful milky flavor, which
interestingly enough is the result of a sudden shift in
temperature during harvest- a rare occurrence to say the
least!
Origin: This leaf is plucked from gardens situated in
the Wuyi Mountains of China at an elevation of 500 – 1200
meters.
